Move update & dead duck (sort of)
Move went well, now we are in a hotel while the new house gets painted and a few ceiling fans are put in. Miss Maddie is handling the change quite well, but I discovered her beloved duck has a tear in it and all my sewing stuff is in storage! She has had this duck since Christmas 2009 and it had not "honked" for at least a 9 months, so I think new house means a new duck for Maddie!

Colorado Stitcher is on the Move
I may not be posting much the next few weeks. We are moving west to the city (actually an unicorporated area) of Littleton, CO. I will have the lap top, but not sure I will have the time!
Stitch well and have fun in the meantime.

Miss Maddie
I meant to post these picutures last week, but life got in the way. I think you may like them anyway! As you may recall from prior posts, Miss Maddie broke a nail and was bandaged and e-collared. After three days I took her in for bandage removal but it had not healed enough so she came home looking like this:
She only had to be e-collared when left alone. She had to keep the bandage on until the following Monday (four days). This meant she could not run and play and all potty trips were on leash. We were hoping and praying that when she came out of the Veterinarian's back room she would be bandage-less. And she was - look ma (and pa) no bandage!!

She is a good dog and has the sleep part of her day down pat.

Hearts For Christchurch
On Feb 28 Hearts for Christchurch (NZ) was started. An effort to fill the city with handmade hearts. You can go to the blog's home page for updates, more background information and the address to send your hearts. For all you EGAers out there, this would be a great outreach project too. I plan to make this one (a Feb freebie from Orange Blossom Dreams) with a slight variateion in finishing.
Keep up the good work!

March 2011 TUSAL
Here are my orts since the last new moon. All that red yarn are really frog stitches from a tartan pillow I am needlepointing - I had to take out five rows since I started in the wrong place (should have been yellow). I figured I'd best take them out or the tartan would not be correct!
an update on Miss Maddie's Mishap
In case anyone was wondering how Miss Maddie is doing. I took her back to the veterinarian on Thursday afternoon to have the bandage taken off (although that morning she walked it off) and they put a new one on - seems that not enough nail had grown back over the skin. So, she is bandaged and e-collared until Monday am. She seem perfectly normal otherwise.

What??
You know those people who roam the neighborhoods leaving advertisements for carpet cleaning or repairs or lawn care on your door? We got one the other day for a company that finishes basements. All well and good, except we have a for sale sign on our front lawn with a sign that says "FINISHED BASEMENT"
