Howdy Stranger - a Tad Photo Heavy

It has been a while since you heard from me. I have been busy preparing to sell our house and move to sunny Arizona. I have been posting pictures on my Instagram account (Marysgottastitch) with the proper hash tag so it will show up on my blog. It is an add-on on the right side of my page.

Sometime this summer, I hope to be settled in our new digs and will try to be a better blogger, I may have a new blog name too (but same blog address, so if you have me in a blog reader, you will not lose me). Time will tell.

In the mean time, I have found time to do some stitching and will share a bit with you while I have a break and the computer has not been packed yet!

I combined my love of stitching with card making and made these cards for my nieces in California. It actually all started with snoopy since niece Laura loves snoopy and kind of grew from there. I was going to make more for others, but this move thing just gets in the way!! So maybe next year folks.

This is a pin cushion I made for our Sampler Guild of the Rockies pin cushion exchange. It is from an old issue of cross stitch and needleworks, which I found cleaning up for the move. I think it is called Kaledescope Flower pin cushion, and I finished it as directed and included some flower head pins.

Here is another bonus I found cleaning up, but not sure where it is from now (sorry). It was in an older magazine as a bible cover. My church as a cross wall in the office, so I made this for them as a farewell gift and did it three dimensional using foam core. Boy those inner curves were a doozy to figure out!

This is a pillow I started with my Colorado EGA Saturday Group in 2009. It is from issue 53 of New Stitches Magazine and is called 25 squares. The original called for primary colors but I changed them to these and worked it on 28 count Monaco fabric over two, rather than the 14 count aida called for. I then turned it into a 14" square pillow.

This cute Assisi and pulled thread needle-book is a recent Foothills EGA project, it was a lot of fun to make!

This crazy quilt Easter egg is our Columbine ANG project for April (or maybe March). It a free chart off the Rainbow Gallery website and once I am settled I will get a Styrofoam egg and finish it as an egg shaped stand up.

This is the project I am working on now from 2009 the Boo Club Double Flip by Lizie n Kate.

I leave you with Miss Maddie at the top of the stairs, I will miss this look, but our new house is a ranch style. She should appreciate the no stairs too since at 11.5 years her back legs are not doing so great, especially with stairs!

Happy Stitching!!
