Creative Pay It Forward, 2013

A while back I posted about doing a Creative Pay It Forward, but must not have been very clear with the instructions because only one person followed them! I did get the proper response on facebook, but not so much here in blogland. I may try this again later in the year and try for better instructions on my part.

I have not sent this person the random, anytime handmade item yet, but she decided to send me something! What a fun surprise for Valentine's Day.

Here is what Peggy Lee of Kentucky Sampler sent.

A cute lunch bag size Valentine paper bag.

Inside this bag was this adorable old fashioned Valentine's Day Card.

AND wrapped in cute heart tissue paper:

Was this cute hand painted heart shaped box:

But there's more!!! Inside the box was a surprise:

Yummy candy kisses and a pretty dusty rose color skein of DMC floss!!

This was a very pleasant surprise in my mailbox!! Thanks Peggy Lee :)

2013 Creative Pay it Forward - slight update

Once of my friends on Facebook (FB) made this suggestion and I thought it was a great idea, so I posted it on my FB page: "2013 Creative Pay It Forward: The first five of my friends to comment will receive a random gift from me sometime during the year...maybe something handcrafted, maybe a book, baked goodies, a surprise! Your gift will arrive whenever the mood strikes me without warning. Here's the only requirement: You have to post this on your wall as well and commit do doing the same for five of your friends. Please message me with your address if I don't already have it."

I got 5 people to comment and agree to re-post and do the same. I got to thinking why not promote this in blog land too, and you don't have to be one of the 5 people to comment to carry it on either.

So here goes my attempt in blog land. Sorry you must have a blog to participate.

Also I give you permission to copy and paste any of my words in this post if it will help you with your blog post.

Since I have comment moderation on, I will keep checking the comments more often than normal until I get the 5 participants. But, if you see 5 comments, still check them out since not all may be participating.
