SNOW!!

The first obligatory snow covered patio furniture picture for the season!
2 inches taken at 6:30 am

Roads were ok -  just a bit wet and splashy, but grassy and elevated surfaces collected the snow that fell for about 2 hours in the wee hours of the morn.

I've been wondering how long it will be until snow falls here (Hokkaido) and think we might have six weeks yet. Does snow the beginning of October mean an extra long winter? No matter where you are, the beginning of October is too early!

Wow, it seems so early for snow, but I guess not. I know that it's snowed in October in Michigan. I can remember my son playing football for the school and we couldn't see the game as it was snowing so hard!
