Beading & Books

For the last few years, I have been on a huge reading kick, and not much stitching has gotten done. I have had this happen before, but usually it lasts for weeks, not years. I also found out that I have cataracts which while small, are causing me problems and need to come out. Schedule for late October, once I am on Medicare.  I discovered that if I stitch with magnification (even on 14 or 18 count), my eyes do not get blurry or tired - all because of the cataract.

Bottom line, I have picked up and am enjoying stitching and beading again!!

Below is Playful Pixels Square Stitch a kit from Potomac Beads

Another Potomac Beads kit. It was to make a longer necklace, but my shortening it I got a bracelet and earrings too! Anytime Necklace

This is a class I took with my local bead club,  Don't Worry Bead Happy (DWBH). It consists of two pieces of leather cord that you string beads on and wrap around the cord then go back through the beads just added and wrap around the cord on the other side, then add more beads. Sorry, I don't have more details. If you search for leather wrap bracelet, you may find more information.

Seen at my local used book store.

Happy Stitching!!
